Here’s a teaser image of a color scan we did of a San Pellegrino pop can. There’s a fair amount of reflection on the can so we’re pretty impressed at how well it worked. A normal non-reflective object will have fewer reflection holes (holes which are patched during meshing). We thought for a change of pace we’d show a raw point cloud rather than a final mesh like we usually do. The Matterform scan software will output both. You can see how dense most of the scan is, and this was just a single half pass. That’s a pretty dense point cloud.
