ABS X is the next-generation ABS filament. By applying zero warp technology to the filament it has created an ABS filament with far less cracking, near perfect interlayers, reliable bed adhesion (glass, tape & other adhesives) while improving the mechanical properties making ABS X extra strong. These properties make ABS X the ultimate ABS replacement that prints strong and beautiful parts on any FDM 3D printer without the common headaches associated with regular ABS like warping & horrible bed adhesion.

**Please Note**  This new ABS filament is super to print with, though we found that due to the modifications to the material in order for it to become low warp and low odour, it does not necessarily vapour smooth as well as an unmodified ABS material.  Though it does sand well which is a bonus!

ABS X is the perfect material for strong objects that require an high impact tolerance.

Recommended temperature for heated bed is ± 80-90°C. FilaPrint ABS X is printed at a slighter higher temperature to make the final product extra strong.  FilaPrint ABS X can be used on all common desktop FDM or FFF technology 3D printers. Storage: Cool and dry (15-25°C), as this can aid shelf life significantly.

This 1kg of filament spool is shrink wrapped, boxed and shrink wrapped again. Ensuring that it arrives with you moisture free and ready to print.

Superb tolerances with a smooth finish, a perfect compliment to your 3D printer.  The price indicated already includes UK delivery.

Purchase any two spools from our webstore on a single order and receive them the next day Monday to Friday, only within the UK.

ABS

Overview

Strong and robust. Heat and chemical resilient. An Inexpensive choice for engineering-grade prints.

ABS has solid mechanical properties in the form of heat and impact resistance. Its high durability makes it perfect for printing moving and weight-bearing parts. ABS is shatter resistant; when pushed to its limit parts will bend or warp instead of snapping or shattering. ABS has decent chemical sustainability, making it resilient to sunlight, moisture, acids, and oils. Long exposure to sunlight may cause prints to degrade, making ASA a better choice for outdoor prints.

ABS is quite a common material making it relatively inexpensive whilst also being built to last in tough environments. The main detriment is that it can be quite difficult to print with, and can require printer tuning to get the perfect print.
Printed parts can be polished with acetone, giving them a smooth and glossy finish and hiding layer lines. When printing with this material, it is possible that toxic fumes are produced. This can be circumvented by printing In a well-ventilated area or using an extractor.

Used for: Injection molding, LEGO, electronic casings, automotive parts.

ABS-X

Overview

Strong and robust. Heat and chemical resilient. An Inexpensive choice for engineering-grade prints.

ABS-X is a modified version of ABS – The filament contains additives which help printability by preventing warping and having reliable bed adhesion. Unlike standard ABS, ABS-X can be printed without an enclosure, while still retaining the high strength and durability that the standard ABS is known for.

This Material has exceptional durability and is perfect for printing moving parts and weight-bearing parts. Under extreme amounts of pressure and stress, objects printed in ABS-X tend to lightly bend and flex rather than shattering and snapping. ABS-X has decent chemical sustainability, making it resilient to sunlight, moisture, acids, and oils. Printed parts can be polished with acetone, giving them a smooth and glossy finish and hiding layer lines. When printing with this material, it is possible that toxic fumes are produced. This can be circumvented by printing In a well-ventilated area or using an extractor.
