Jeff Caunter –
If, like me, you prefer to use ABS for its mechanical properties at a reasonable price then this is a perfect filament to use. Unlike many other ABS varieties, it has reduced shrinkage so is far less likely to warp and lift off the buildplate, an important factor when printing objects with a large flat base. On my UM2 I do not need to print a raft or brim, and it stays stuck to the heated glass plate without special tapes or mats. I use a glue stick made by Bostik called ‘Big Blue’, and also a gel made by Pritt (often sold in Lidl). Both are perfect with this premium product, and release the model from the glass easily when cooled to room temperature. Furthermore, the filament bridges quite well and the outer surface quality is very good. It flows well through the hotend, does not appear to carbonise easily at high temperatures, and is capable of producing excellent prints even at thick layer hights and high speed. I regularly print things like gears, levers, and brackets with 0.3mm layers at up to 100mm/sec without ever having de-lamination problems. Yes, if you like ABS, then you’ll love this one.
