A white with a slight bluish tinge of colour!
PET/PETT is a clear plastic resin, it is the most common plastics in the world today, used in the manufacture of water bottles, food container packaging etc.

FilaPrint PET-G poly(ethylene terephthalate) – is glycol modified PET (a polymer resin of the polyester family) filament which we are certain will be the 3D printing filament you are looking for.  If you do not wish to print with ABS and need a filament that is both strong, impact resistant and durable, even for the most demanding applications, then FilaPrint PET-G is the material for you, your printer and your customers!

We know over the years that several PET/PETT products can be difficult to work with or take time getting the settings right, which to be honest when you are printing with different materials and you have several projects on the go you don’t really have the time to spare “dialling” in different filaments.  Other than changing the temperatures slightly on the several machines we pre-tested FilaPrint PET-G on, such as the Big Box, Poetry 2 Infinity, Flexion Graded Wanhau Duplicator 4, Modified Makerbot Replicator 2X and even on the £99 printer Startt (though we used a little PrintaFix to hold it down on the Startt platform), there was little else to “set up” for this filament.

We found that ensuring the external fan was on after the 1st layer and not blowing too fierce to cool down the filament between layers and allow for its superb bonding properties, all we had to do then was enjoy the 3D printing experience!

With the benefits of odour neutral, almost no warping (if any), food contact acceptable and being hydrophobic (does not absorb water), you can be confident in this filament for your 3D printing projects.

FilaPrint PET-G filament is perfect for bridging and overhangs, ensuring that your detailed prints remain just that!  You can also see from the photographs above that the colours are really vivid, even the translucent filaments have a amazing colour tone.

We have a wide range of colours both translucent and opaque for you to choose from in 1.75mm & 2.85 filament diameter.

This 1kg of filament spool (approx 114 metres) is shrink wrapped, boxed and shrink wrapped again. Ensuring that it arrives with you moisture free and ready to print.  Superb tolerances with a smooth finish, a perfect compliment to your 3D printer.  The superb price offered already includes UK delivery.

In addition to the great price offered for this filament, when you purchase any two spools from our webstore on a single order you will receive them on our next day delivery service Monday to Friday, though only within the UK.

PETG

PET-G

Overview

A versatile middle ground between PLA and ABS.

PET-G Is stronger than PLA but easier to print with than ABS. The glycol in this material makes the filament less brittle and resistant to water, chemicals, and solvents. It is naturally clear, making it the go-to filament for translucent prints.
The strength and durability of a PET-G filament vary depending on the brand. An easy way to check if one PET-G is stronger than another is by comparing the tensile strength value of each filament. If printed in a sterile, FDA-approved environment, PET-G can be used to create food-safe prints.

Due to its strong and durable nature, PET-G can be difficult to finish with post-processing methods such as sanding. Prints may also be difficult to paint or glue together. Depending on printer and slicer settings, you may experience small hairs over the surface of prints caused by stringing. These can be removed with a heat gun or lighter.

Used for: Water Bottles, Plant Pots.
