Two-Tone PLA can produce some amazing looking prints and is easy to print; the same way as conventional PLA and not requiring a heated bed. With a wide range of colours to choose from, it’s sure to brighten up your prints.
  
This 750gms of filament spool is shrink wrapped, boxed and shrink wrapped yet again!  Ensuring that it arrives with you moisture free and ready to print.  Just to let you know that we keep the packaging style minimalistic, in order to keep our costs down, which helps us to give you the most affordable quality filaments available today.  You don’t print with the packaging do you?

PLA

Overview

PLA is easy to print, at low cost. Non-toxic and Eco friendly. A perfect starting point for people new to 3D printing.

PLA is created from all-natural renewable resources, and under the correct conditions, is fully biodegradable. This material is typically used for prototypes or decorative prints; Due to the low temperatures and ease of use, features tend to print sharper and more detailed. Its non-toxic nature means that it can be printed for food and medical applications if done so from a sterile and sanitized environment. 
However, PLA prints are prone to snapping and breaking under pressure, and become damaged and discolored from high temperatures and prolonged exposure to sunlight or water.

    This filament was a bit of a mix of qualities for me, on the plus side it’s very easy to print with good layer adhesion and really excellent bed adhesion. It handled bridging and overhangs quite well with bridges less than 15mm showing no surface effects at all. On the down side the shimmer effect is there, but surprisingly weak in daylight although it shows up stronger under LED light. The surface of the filament is rather soft, which caused issues for me with retraction and filament getting chewed up more easily than is normal, I had to increase the pressure on the feed roller much more than normal and reduce retractions. I think the biggest issue I had was that it was supplied in a rather damp state. When I put it into my filament dry box the relative humidity in the box shot up to over 50% (normally it’s less than 10%) and it took several days to bring it back down again which isn’t something that’s happened with other filaments. I examined the packaging and couldn’t find any damage that would explain this.
