INOX – Stainless Steel lookalike

Easy PLA is as it sounds, an easy to print PLA.  A PLA that has great bonding qualities, superb layer finish, wonderful rich colours and rigidity without being too brittle.

Easy PLA fiberlogy 3D printing filament can be used for prototyping, modelling, architectural design works, toys, gadgets and many other 3D printing projects.

We are offering this refill option for those who are comfortable to purchase filament without it being pre-wound on a fixed spool.  Though just because it is not wound on a fixed spool does not make it an inferior product, it does allow us to offer it cheaper than its fixed spool counterpart and feels better on the mind for reducing the amount of 3D printing filament spools that (may) end up just being thrown away.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the filament refill option, there is no better way to enlighten you than to point you in the direction of the creator of the “Masterspool” Richard Horne AKA Richrap.  It is also a worthwhile watch if you have any reservations regarding the tangling of filaments.

There are several options for you in terms of spool creation, ready to use with your fiberlogy filament refill coil.

You have the original V4 Masterspool by Richard Horne – https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2769823

Or the specifically made spool for this 850gms fiberlogy refill pack – https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3097489

The filament will arrive in a vacuum pack, with silica gel and boxed individually.

PLA

Overview

PLA is easy to print, at low cost. Non-toxic and Eco friendly. A perfect starting point for people new to 3D printing.

PLA is created from all-natural renewable resources, and under the correct conditions, is fully biodegradable. This material is typically used for prototypes or decorative prints; Due to the low temperatures and ease of use, features tend to print sharper and more detailed. Its non-toxic nature means that it can be printed for food and medical applications if done so from a sterile and sanitized environment.
However, PLA prints are prone to snapping and breaking under pressure, and become damaged and discolored from high temperatures and prolonged exposure to sunlight or water.

Used for: Design prototypes, Plastic Cups, Medical Implants, Food containers.

    Richard

oh boy: 1) It was metallic silver not grey 2) Arrived with the “air tight” sealed bag full of air, so everything was messed around 3) the cable ties were far far too loose and allowed the filament to spring everywhere 4) ironically it was still wound too tight for my master spool I had printed so didn’t fit Avoid like the plague. you can get far better stuff for far cheaper, and already on a spool Hi Richard We are sorry to hear of your dissatisfaction with this material. We have tried to send an email so we can arrange your refund. We also contacted the manufacturer who has apologised for the issue. Can you please contact timk@3dfilaprint.com so we can arrange your refund.

    Good base colour

This prints beautifully on both my Ender 3 and my Voron2.4 Its a Good mid gray, with a slightly steel like metallic sheen. This makes it an ideal filament for printing parts which are meant to be metal. This is double for painted parts, where if the paint chips, it’ll show the metallic like plastic. As such this could be considered for prop making.
