This type of Flexfill is based on polyether-block-amide (PEBA), which was specially developed for processing by 3D printing. Although it is flexible with hardness 90 Shore A, it exhibits different thermal, mechanical, and chemical behaviour from other Flexfill filaments (TPU, TPE).

Description

Not sure what flexible to go for? What is shore hardness? Here is a handy guide to help you pick the right material for your print. Click here to view Flexible and Shore Hardness guide

This type of Flexfill is based on polyether block amide (PEBA), which was specially developed for processing in 3D printing. Although it is flexible with a Shore hardness of 90A, it shows a different thermal, mechanical and chemical behaviour than other Flexfill filaments (TPU, TPE).

Properties:

  • Excellent mechanical properties
  • Flexible even at low temperatures
  • High reversible deformation
  • The rebound resistance is retained even at low temperatures (down to -60 ° C).
  • High chemical resistance, resistance to vehicle fluids (gas, diesel, oil, …)
  • Resistant to cyclical loading with no apparent damage
  • High energy return, low hysteresis
  • Tear resistance
  • Low density, lightness
  • Recyclable, BPA-free, low fumes

Recommended processing temperature: 225 – 245 °C

Recommended heating temperature: 70 – 90 °C

Moisture sensitive – keep in a re-sealable protective bag.

    Worth every penny.
I normally use TPU for my drone parts, and tried some of this stuff as in the cold weather, TPU was splitting.
This stuff is way way tougher and has that lovely Isotropic property (INSANE layer adhesion) that Nylon does.
It also bonds REALLY REALLY WELL to Nylon (Specifically I use Fillamentum FX256) – if you have a part which you want soft, but screws to another part, then you can print 1 or 2mm of Nylon for the screw head to grip, and then the rest in PEBA.
It also has the most gorgeous feel to it, like silicone rubber.
The rebound on this stuff is insane – in the attached pic, if I bend the “buggy whip” antenna mount at the back and release it, you get this BOINGGGG sound
Overall, I am absolutely in love with this stuff
One word of warning though – it does not like bowden tubes. It has a slightly tacky feel to it and is a right bugger to feed into them if they are slightly tight, or on bends
