Description
A wonderful new filament from the amazing manufacturer Fillamentum. A very easy to print filament with extraordinary bonding quality, you will be “wowed” when you see the layer finish that you can achieve with this material.
Fillamentum PLA Extrafill is a 3D Printer Filament for the FFF (also known as FDM) 3D printing technology.
The advantage of this material is that it can be used in 3D printers easily, that it allows a high quality of printing even in tricky details and an excellent lamination of the printed object.
PLA filament is made of natural ingredients and is easily biodegradable by composing.
Fillamentum guarantees high precision of filament dimensions within the tolerance of +/- 0,05 mm, which is strictly controlled throughout the production.
Printing filaments reported on the marked under the trademark Fillamentum are produced in a wide variety of colours in accordance with the colour charts RAL and Pantone, and also in own unique colour ranges.

Strangely difficult
So I’m normally a big fan of the Extrafill filaments. They’re cheap, they work and generally they’re fairly easy to get decent prints from even if they don’t always match up to more expensive filaments. This yellow though? Absolutely not. It’s been a real challenge to get good prints out of this thing, with a lot of ring layers and blobing on the outter walls being recurring issues when using a 0.4mm nozzle. At first I would be inclined to blame my slicer settings, but even after much tweaking I’ve had no success with this particular filament. I can only assume that this has something to do the dye involved in making it yellow as other Extrafill filaments have printed great with the same or similar settings before and since. To it’s benefit however, on a 0.8mm nozzle I had substantially less trouble with this filament (although that is to be expected) and was able to avoid blobing. Additionally, the colour is excellent being both bright and clean. At only 1 or 2 layers it looks fairly washed out, but beyond 3 it looks great and if one can get it to print more accurately I feel that it would be a very pretty filament.

Brilliant Stuff!
Have to say this is lovely fillament, the yellow is a proper yellow colour like amber. No adhesion problems or clogs, lays down a perfect first layer every time. My only criticism is you can’t get it in 1kg spools but that’s the same for all of the Fillamentum range. Definately buying again!
